 Even though they lost, Leigh  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Teresa struck out eight times.
 Branham's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Leigh, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.
