Bowie hasn't had much luck against Martin recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Bowie is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Sam Houston: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Volunteers blew the Texans out of the water with a 52-7 final score. With the Volunteers ahead 28-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

With that strong performance, Osunde-Brown is now averaging an impressive 102.2 receiving yards per game.
Bowie didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Galatians Paogofie and Kevin Baines. Paogofie has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Martin, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in September. They blew past Grand Prairie 65-6 last Friday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Gophers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Martin's win came from a few key players Bowie will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was ' Ty Ingram, who picked up 55 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Javian Jones-Priest was another key player, rushing for 61 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.
Martin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 208 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 208 rushing yards in three consecutive games.
Martin's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB 4.5 times. Kellen Davis was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. Martin got some further help from Eli Johnson: he forced one fumble and made 16 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Bowie now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Martin, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
The upcoming matchup will be a clash of competing strengths. Bowie has relied on air attacks this season and has averaged 354.6 passing yards per game. Martin, on the other hand, has relied on a stout run game: they average 225 rushing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Thursday? There's only one way to find out.
Bowie was able to grind out a solid victory over Martin in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 34-24. Will the Volunteers repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
