Football Recap: Traverse City Central Starts Season with Victory on the Road + How To Watch

Traverse City Central had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 46-3 victory over the Novi Wildcats. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Trojans had established a 30-point advantage.

Isaac Turnwald was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 129 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries, and also threw for 169 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (137.8). Traverse City Central also got a significant boost from Rutger Feeney, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 106 yards.

As for Novi, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Hartland at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
