Meanwhile, Rossview pushed their score all the way to 69 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Clarksville by a score of 71-69. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Rossview came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Clarksville is ranked 194th).
Northeast's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-14. As for Rossview, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9.
Northeast took a serious blow against Rossview in their previous matchup on January 5th, falling 86-32. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Rossview's Landon Hankemeier, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds.
