North Johnston took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Fike by a score of 6-1.

The team relied heavily on Charlie Barnes, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. Another player making a difference was Maurice Love, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Franklin Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Oxford Prep. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Patriots have suffered against the Griffins since April 6, 2018.

Franklin Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for North Johnston, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
