Basketball Recap: DME Academy Blue's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

DME Academy Blue lost against Central Pointe Christian Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The DME Academy Blue - took a 79-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Pointe Christian Academy CPCA. While losing is never fun, the - can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while the CPCA are ranked 23rd).

DME Academy Blue lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being MATTIA ORLANDI, who went 8 of 15 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds. Those seven boards gave ORLANDI a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of MAXIMILLIAN GOBORIN, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 15 points.

DME Academy Blue's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-14. As for Central Pointe Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

DME Academy Blue will square off against IMG Academy Royal at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. DME Academy Blue knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully IMG Academy Royal likes a good challenge. As for Central Pointe Christian Academy, they will challenge Potter's House Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
