On Saturday NSI Academy take on Guernsey-Sunrise at 3:00 PM. Guernsey-Sunrise will need to watch out since NSI Academy have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.
NSI Academy put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. They steamrollered Midwest 61-18. NSI Academy were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, Guernsey-Sunrise faced Kaycee in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Guernsey-Sunrise have to be aching after a bruising 29-60 loss to Kaycee.
NSI Academy's win lifted them to 3-0 while Guernsey-Sunrise's defeat dropped them down to 1-2. In their victory, NSI Academy relied heavily on sophomore James Vines, who picked up 199 yards on the ground and threw 4 TDs. Guernsey-Sunrise will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
