The Lafayette Christian Cougars's game on January 2nd was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They breezed by Praise Academy on the road to the tune of 59-30. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-11.
Carmen Bridges continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 42 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marta Oria, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Lafayette Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Praise Academy, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Lafayette Christian will be playing at home against Central Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Praise Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Excel Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
