Jamestown scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Orchard Park, 35-28. At the time, the Quakers was ranked seventh in the state, while the Red Raiders was 35th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Orchard Park, who took down seventh ranked Orchard Park, 35-28. Jacob Sisson threw for 191 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 14 yards in the win.
Jamestown's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Da'quan Hollingsworth chipped in 133 yards. Stephen Carlson helped Jamestown's passing attack out by catching six balls for 73 yards.
Zach Panebianco was the best wideout in Section 6 AA - South this week as Tom Langworthy's team topped Gene Tundo's team. Panebianco tallied four receptions for 77 yards.
6-foot-0 quarterback Colafranceschi Kevin of Lancaster is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1206. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. On the ground, the Red Raiders' Hollingsworth has rushed for 829 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Panebianco. The Jamestown star has 17 catches for 383 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Clarence takes on Jamestown. The Red Devils are currently in third, while the Red Raiders are in second.
Jamestown was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating the Quakers. The Red Raiders came in at 19 in the state poll after placing at number 35 last week.
