D'andre Pollard ran for two touchdowns and
Denny Lord added two as well as
Neshaminy (Langhorne, Pa.) upset
Abington (Pa.) 35-14 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a Lord touchdown run in the first quarter, the Redskins were up 28-0 at the half.
Both teams scored seven points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at 28 entering the fourth.
The Galloping Ghosts came in surrendering 17.3 points per game this season. Abington had a hard time against Neshaminy's offense, which entered the game scoring 36.1 points per game. NHS went into the matchup giving up only 10.0 points per game.
A 21-14 Neshaminy victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Abington defeated Garnet Valley 26-21 last week. The loss ended Abington's three-game winning streak.
The Galloping Ghosts (10-3) will play a non-conference game against Cheltenham next week. The Panthers enter the tilt sporting a 5-6 record for the season.
