Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chowchilla to victory, but perhaps none more so than Khaled Escheik, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds. Escheik has been hot , having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Ojeda, who went 7 for 10 en route to 15 points plus five assists and two steals.
Meanwhile, a victory for Mariposa County just wasn't in the cards on Tuesday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They took a blow against Minarets, falling 71-42. The Grizzlies were down 53-32 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Chowchilla's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Mariposa County, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
