The Incarnate Word Academy Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 56-24 loss at the hands of Village. Incarnate Word Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-12.
Mila Rossini was her usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with five steals for Village. That makes it three consecutive games in which Rossini has scored at least a third of Village's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cyra Narahari, who scored six points along with six assists and three steals.
Incarnate Word Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Village, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.
Incarnate Word Academy will head out on the road to challenge Concordia Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Concordia Lutheran is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. As for Village, they will be playing at home against Incarnate Word at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Incarnate Word is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
