Central Mountain is a perfect 10-0 against DuBois since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Wildcats will face off against the Beavers. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.
Central Mountain was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Selinsgrove on Tuesday. The Wildcats blew past the Seals 11-1. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
The team relied heavily on Aubrey Eiler, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Elise McKean, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, DuBois made easy work of Johnsonburg on Wednesday and carried off a 15-3 victory. Considering the Beavers have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kendall Lashinsky looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, DuBois let Addison Lilja and Brielle Gray run wild. Lilja got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Gray went 4-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Lilja a new career-high. Bryanna Wilmoth was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Central Mountain's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for DuBois, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Central Mountain skirted past DuBois 3-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Beavers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
