The Hunter Wolverines's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 66-54 to Taylorsville. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hunter of the 66-59 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Hunter still got an impressive performance from Dominick Phannolath, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaquel Cossa, who scored 14 points.
Bronson Dallimore was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds for Taylorsville. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dallimore has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kobe Allen, who scored 17 points along with five assists.
Hunter has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Taylorsville, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7.
Hunter will take on Juan Diego Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Juan Diego Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 367 points over their last six matches. As for Taylorsville, they will head out on the road to take on West Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Jordan will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
