Lincoln Christian hasn't had much luck against Malcolm recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Crusaders will head out to square off against the Clippers at 4:30 p.m. Lincoln Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Lincoln Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nebraska's top teams: Lincoln Lutheran, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Lincoln Christian was ranked 16th). The Crusaders were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Warriors on Monday. Considering the Crusaders have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
David Krogh looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kale Bryson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kade Stryker, who went 1-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Malcolm was able to grind out a solid win over Norfolk on Friday, taking the game 7-3.
Brixon Meyer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meyer wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Duzik, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Greyson Queen also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Malcolm hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Lincoln Christian's record now sits at 7-0. As for Malcolm, their record is now 7-3.
Lincoln Christian came up short against Malcolm when the teams last played back in April of 2025, falling 3-0. Can the Crusaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
