The Warren Bears will face off against the Whittier Christian Heralds at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Warren is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Thousand Oaks as they made off with an 8-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Vivi Navarrete spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Julissa Gradilla, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamie Duenas, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Warren was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thousand Oaks only posted a batting average of .222.
Meanwhile, Whittier Christian won against Heritage Christian last Tuesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Heralds blew past Western Christian 10-2. The result was nothing new for the Heralds, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Whittier Christian also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Sofia Gonzalez gave up three earned runs on three hits.
On the hitting side, Rylee Cull (Depaul) was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Sofia Hernandez (ASU) was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Warren's win bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Whittier Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8-1.
Saturday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Warren hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. However, it's not like Whittier Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .392. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Warren might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from Whittier Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
