The Mission Oak Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 69-52 fall against Fowler.
Mission Oak's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Gonzalez, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ristian Elzy, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Mission Oak has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. As for Fowler, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission Oak will take on Lemoore at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lemoore focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for Fowler, they will be playing at home against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
