After a string of three wins, the Oakland Patriots's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 53-30 defeat at the hands of Upperman. Oakland has not had much luck with Upperman recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Oakland's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaydence Wisniewski, who scored 5 points along with 5 rebounds. Wisniewski hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Nash, who scored 12 points.
Oakland now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Upperman, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakland will challenge York Institute at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. York Institute will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Upperman, they will head out on the road to face off against Clay County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clay County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Upperman is ranked fourth).
