Two dominant forwards in Pharaoh Compton and Damonte Duhart are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Arbor View Aggies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Desert Pines Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Wednesday, Arbor View faced Coronado in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Arbor View managed a 68-63 victory over Coronado. The victory was familiar territory for Arbor View who now have four in a row.
Meanwhile, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Desert Pines made off with a 62-61 victory over Liberty. The win made it back-to-back wins for Desert Pines.
Arbor View has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Desert Pines, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.
Arbor View was able to grind out a solid victory over Desert Pines in their previous matchup back in January, winning 68-61. Will Arbor View repeat their success, or does Desert Pines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
