The Stevenson Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the King's Way Christian Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stevenson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.2 runs per game this season.
Stevenson had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 19-run drubbing they dealt Corbett on Friday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 24-5 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won three games in a row.
The team relied heavily on Rebecca Townsend, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Hulsey-Bible, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Stevenson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Corbett only posted an OBP of .464.
La Center hit King's Way Christian with a six-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights came up short against the Wildcats, falling 13-3. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
King's Way Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashley Mill, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Stevenson has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .475. However, it's not like King's Way Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .458. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Stevenson took their victory against King's Way Christian when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-8 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
