Carrollton had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the South County Vipers. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Carrollton was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10.

Chloe McAdams paced Carrollton's offense, picking up eight kills. McAdams got some help from Landry Robeen and her 16 assists. Kadyn Lake controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Carrollton's win bumped their record up to 20-4-1. As for South County, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-13.

Carrollton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Carlinville on the 18th. As for South County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central on the 17th.
