The Jac-Cen-Del Eagles lost against the Greensburg Pirates back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Jac-Cen-Del lost to the Pirates on the road by a decisive 59-45 margin. While losing is never fun, Jac-Cen-Del can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Pirates are ranked 93rd).
Greensburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Mckinsey led the charge by scoring 25 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Lutz, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Jac-Cen-Del has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Greensburg, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jac-Cen-Del will take on the Jets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greensburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cubs at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
