Bay Port and Pulaski are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Pirates will face off against the Red Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bay Port knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Pulaski likes a good challenge.
Bay Port's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Sheboygan North as they made off with a 16-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won four matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Payton Dudra made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Bay Port let Elly Rau and Hailey Montie run wild. Rau went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Montie went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI Montie has posted since back in April of 2024. Riley Veraghen also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Bay Port was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .306 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pulaski, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Notre Dame Academy by a score of 3-0 on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Red Raiders as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Not much got past Addison Luebke, who gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Notre Dame Academy off the board.
At the plate, Pulaski's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kianna Altendorf, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
Pulaski's record is now 5-7. As for Bay Port, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Bay Port skirted past Pulaski 5-3 when the teams last played on April 3rd. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
