The Pilot Grove Tigers were the 53-44 winner over the Stover Bulldogs when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Pilot Grove took a 54-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stover. Pilot Grove can't seem to catch a break and have yet to win any of their three games.
Ashlyn Pinzke had an outrageously good game for Stover as she dropped a double-double on 26 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Pinzke has scored at least 25% of Stover's points. Another player making a difference was Hannah Bauer, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Pilot Grove has fallen quite a ways from their 23-6 record last season and are now at 0-3. As for Stover, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Pilot Grove's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sacred Heart at 4:30 p.m. on December 4th. Hopefully Sacred Heart focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Tuesday. As for Stover, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Russellville at 7:30 p.m.
