Hume-Fogg has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Whites Creek Cobras at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hume-Fogg comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 53-18, which was the final score in Hume-Fogg's tilt against Ensworth on Friday. Even though Whites Creek has not done well against McGavock recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Whites Creek walked away with a 48-39 victory over McGavock. The win made it back-to-back wins for Whites Creek.
Whites Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rickiya Rawlings out in front who scored 18 points. Rawlings set a new season high mark in points with 18. Another player making a difference was Moriah Plattner, who scored 13 points.
Hume-Fogg bumped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.5 points per game. As for Whites Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
