The Wendover Wildcats will head out to take on the Summit Academy Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wendover is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.

While Wendover didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past St. Joseph 55-22 on Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-8.

Wendover's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Millie Hicks, who shot 47% from the field on her way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Phoenix DuBoise, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 13 points.

Meanwhile, Summit Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Union and fell 65-25. The Bears were down 49-22 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Wendover's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 56.8 points this season. As for Summit Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Wendover was dealt a bruising 57-30 loss at the hands of Summit Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
