The McKeel Academy Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the DeSoto County Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as McKeel Academy comes in on ten and DeSoto County on five.
McKeel Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand LaBelle a 3-0 shutout on Friday. McKeel Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday DeSoto County sidestepped Robinson for a 1-0 win. DeSoto County's winning goal came courtesy of Juan Buenrostro.
McKeel Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3-2 record this season. As for DeSoto County, they pushed their record up to 17-2-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
