The Windham Whippets pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Brookfield 60-56.
When it comes to explaining why Windham lost, one person who can't be blamed is Malcolm Hunter . Despite the final result, he scored 31 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anden Gonzalez , who scored eight points.
Shane Weber was a one-man wrecking crew for Brookfield as he scored 34 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Weber's third in a row with at least ten points. Brendan Longworth was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds.
Windham's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1. As for Brookfield, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Windham will be home for the holidays to greet Fitch at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Fitch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. As for Brookfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Abbott RVT at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
