The Jac-Cen-Del Eagles lost against the Batesville Bulldogs back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Jac-Cen-Del lost to Batesville on the road by a decisive 56-38 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jac-Cen-Del has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Batesville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cade Kaiser, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. The contest was Kaiser's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Johnson, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
Jac-Cen-Del's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-7. As for Batesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Jac-Cen-Del will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Waldron at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th. As for Batesville, they will look to defend their home court on January 11th against Greensburg at 7:30 p.m.
