In what's become a running theme this season, the Blountstown Tigers gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 47-13 victory over Cottondale on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Blountstown who now have nine in a row.
Blountstown found their leader in underclassman Jill Davis, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rendi Brogden, who scored nine points.
Blountstown's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Cottondale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
Blountstown will be playing at home against the Tiger Sharks at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Port St. Joe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 590th, while the Tigers are ranked 204th). As for Cottondale, they will square off against the Tigers at TBD on Monday.
