Basketball Game Preview: Rockford Auburn Knights vs. Jefferson J-Hawks

The Rockford Auburn Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Jefferson J-Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rockford Auburn is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.7 points per game this season.

Rockford Auburn is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-47 heartbreaker at the hands of Schaumburg.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kaidan Dozie, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Amir Danforth was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, Jefferson got the win against Aurora East last Saturday by a conclusive 58-37.

Rockford Auburn's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Jefferson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.
