Make it three blowout wins for the Westport Wildcats this season. Everything went their way against Avon on Wednesday as Westport made off with a 45-24 win. Westport's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Avon's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kylie Mallet, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Hanelie Cadet, who scored ten points.
Westport's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Avon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
Westport's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wareham at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Avon, they will be playing at home against Holbrook at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
