Deposit-Hancock's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 68-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Susquehanna Valley.
The losing side was boosted by Blake Fortunato, who scored 39 points. That was a full 63.9% of Deposit-Hancock's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Thomas Reis, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Unatego can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game last Thursday. They walked away with a 59-49 win over Deposit-Hancock. The victory was just what Unatego needed coming off of a 72-42 defeat in their prior contest.
Deposit-Hancock has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Unatego, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Deposit-Hancock came up short against Unatego in their previous meeting last Thursday, falling 59-49. Can Deposit-Hancock avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
