The Marion County Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Webster County 72-9 at home. That looming 72-9 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Marion County yet this season.
Marion County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sage Davis led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that Davis pulled down eight or more rebounds. Valencia Alridge was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Marion County's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Webster County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.
Marion County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Schley County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Webster County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
