The Fort Zumwalt South Bulldogs suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They suffered a tough 70-45 defeat at the hands of Battle. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fort Zumwalt South in their matchups with Battle: they've now lost three in a row.
Battle got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tate McCubbin out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brandon Rooks, who scored 19 points.
Fort Zumwalt South's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Battle, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3.
Fort Zumwalt South will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Battle at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Battle, they will be playing at home against Parkview at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
