With a playoff game on the line, the ED White Commanders rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wolverines 59-24 on the road. ED White has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 22 points or more this season.
ED White's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Leandrea McCloud led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 22 rebounds. McCloud has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 17 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Falisa White, who scored 16 points along with four steals and two blocks.
The victory got ED White back to even at 12-12. As for Westside, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.
ED White will face off against Stanton at TBD on Friday. ED White is coming into the match with six straight wins on the road, meaning Stanton will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. Westside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
