New Life Christian Academy hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost four straight) but thanks in part to Kyle Baldwin that streak is no more. The New Life Christian Academy Monarchs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Wayne Preparatory Academy Generals 70-67 thanks in part to Baldwin, who went 11 of 17 on his way to 27 points in addition to six boards and five assists. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game.

New Life Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Wayne Preparatory Academy, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-3.

New Life Christian Academy will host Oak City Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wayne Preparatory Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Southern Wayne at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Wayne Preparatory Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Southern Wayne likes a good challenge.
