The Monrovia Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They came out on top against Mooresville Christian by a score of 75-67. The victory was some much needed relief for Monrovia as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Monrovia was led to victory by Clay Tharp and Tucker Rahn. Tharp dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, while Rahn went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 2 assists. The contest was Rahn's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Welch, who scored nine points along with six assists.
Monrovia's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Mooresville Christian, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monrovia will finish 2023 at home by hosting South Putnam at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (South Putnam is ranked 352nd, while Monrovia is ranked 346th). As for Mooresville Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Indiana Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Indiana Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
