The Pine Hill Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell to To'hajiilee 44-38. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pine Hill in their matchups with To'hajiilee: they've now lost seven in a row.
Pine Hill's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Virances Martinez, who scored 11 points along with seven steals. Martinez hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Natan, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Pine Hill has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for To'hajiilee, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with that victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ramah the next time they take the court. Pine Hill will head out to face Ramah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while To'hajiilee will host them at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th.
