Nederland has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Galena Park Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Nederland is not getting complacent, as they comes into the match much higher ranked than Galena Park in Texas (Nederland is ranked 296th, while Galena Park is ranked 672nd).
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Nederland had to settle for a 21-19 defeat against Fort Bend Marshall.
Meanwhile, Galena Park took a serious blow against Santa Fe on Friday, falling 50-23. Galena Park has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 3-4.
Everything came up roses for Nederland against Galena Park in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 42-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nederland since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
