The Dixie Hornets will look to defend their home court against the South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Dixie is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Hornets in South Carolina (the Hornets are ranked 256th, while the Hornets are ranked 622nd).
Dixie was handed a two-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against the Wolverines on Friday. Dixie took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 48-16 win over the Wolverines. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for Dixie this season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They took a 22-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thornwell.
Dixie's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything went Dixie's way against the Hornets in their previous matchup back in January as the Hornets made off with a 39-13 win. Will Dixie repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
