The Balko Bison's's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They managed a 40-36 victory over Laverne. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Balko also won the last time the pair played on Tuesday.
Aspen Freeman was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 11 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Pearson, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Balko's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Laverne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Balko will be playing in front of their home fans against Rolla at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rolla focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight back in December of 2023. Laverne and Arnett will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Arnett will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
