Last Friday, Bishop Ward didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Heritage Christian Academy, but they still walked away with a 55-50 victory. Given Bishop Ward's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Heritage Christian Academy is ranked 288th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Cair Paravel unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 74-54 walloping at the hands of Bishop Seabury Academy. Cair Paravel has struggled against Bishop Seabury Academy recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Bishop Ward is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Cair Paravel, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7.
Bishop Ward beat Cair Paravel 57-49 when the teams last played back in January. Will Bishop Ward repeat their success, or does Cair Paravel have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
