The Peck Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 51-33 bruising from All Saints Central. Peck was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carsten Lieblang, who scored 11 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Alfaro, who scored six points.
Peck dropped their record down to 7-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for All Saints Central, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peck will challenge the Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for All Saints Central, they will head out on the road to square off against the Vulcans at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Vassar focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Wednesday.
