The Hopewell Vikings lost against the Beaver Bobcats back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Hopewell suffered a tough 76-53 loss at the hands of Beaver. Hopewell has not had much luck with Beaver recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Brady Mayo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Beaver, scoring 23 points along with seven steals and five assists. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Mayo has scored at least 25% of Beaver's points. Junior Marino was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds.
Hopewell's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Beaver, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3.
Hopewell and Wilmington will round out the year against one another at 2:00 p.m. on December 28th at. Beaver will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Upper St. Clair at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
