Make it six blowout wins for the Biggs Wolverines this season. They really took it to Maxwell for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-32 win on the road. The win was familiar territory for Biggs who now have five in a row.
Biggs got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emilio Vera out in front who scored 17 points along with six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Smith, who scored 18 points along with two steals.
Biggs pushed their record up to 12-5 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Maxwell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Biggs will take on Williams at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Williams has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Maxwell, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Los Molinos at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Los Molinos focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
