When it comes to explaining why Capital Prep lost, one person who can't be blamed is Amare Cockfield. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 48% of Capital Prep's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Syre Gillespie was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Bulkeley's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-14. As for Capital Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
