The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Johnson in their matchups with Austin: they've now lost four in a row.
Austin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jill Shirk, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Shirk's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kemah Shaw, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Austin, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.
Johnson will be home for the holidays to greet Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bowie is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Austin, they will square off against Akins at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
