Softball Recap: Straughn Wins Going Away Against Pleasant Home

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times Straughn and Pleasant Home have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Brinlee Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Ranta, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Straughn's record is now 17-15. As for Pleasant Home, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Looking ahead, Straughn will square off against Pike County at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasant Home does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
