Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chapel Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eva Smith, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals. Laynie Smith was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two blocks.
Northern Durham dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.0 points per game. As for Chapel Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4.
Northern Durham was taken down by Chapel Hill 98-5 when the teams last played back in January. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Northern Durham was down 59-2.
